The snow is now up to my knees, mind you I am only 5 foot 2 so its not as deep to some. Everywhere around looks very Ansel Adams-esque. The snow is light and stacks almost a foot high on the fence posts.
Today we were invited to a hog roast by some friends from church. They only live 5 minutes away normally, but in the snow and unploughed roads it took about 15 minutes. Friends had gone on a Boar hunt done south and brought it home. Tasted pretty good, not gamy at all. The traditions rang strong the Midwest meal was Pork and Beans and as in the cultural I grew up with in Australia then men hung around the Barbie (BBQ / Braai) and the women were inside. In fact I was dismissed as such and so retired inside, where it was a good deal warmer.
I think I should start taking some photos to enhance the blog so you are truly able to appreciate the experience.
Anyways chores took over 2 hours did MIL's as well. So time to moisturize. Had a way too hot but thoroughly enjoyable shower. Going to relax and watch the Part 2 to Dr Who. Got to love BBC if only it was the reall BBC and not BBC America, oh well, signing off.
